The people behind GFI Consultants Ltd, responsible for the Para Sky Plantation investment fraud, have been banned from acting as company directors.

Earlier this week, the Insolvency Service announced that they had procured undertakings from Andrew Skeene and Omani Bowers under the Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986. Skeene & Bowers were the two directors and shareholders of GFI Consultants Ltd, the company that had purported to sell ‘plots’ in the Belem Sky & Para Sky Plantations. The former trustee of the Green & Fixed Income Schemes invested £1.66m into the Para Sky Plantation.
These undertakings have the same effect as a formal disqualification order. They prevent Skeene & Bowers from acting as directors, or being involved in the management of companies.
Astonishingly, the Insolvency Service found that of c.£20m received by GFI Consultants Ltd, £13m was transferred to the personal bank accounts of Skeene & Bowers.
